Terms of service

Who we are

TrustInk is an electronic-signature service operated by UniqTec s.r.o., a company registered in Slovakia ([registered office, company ID and register entry to be added]), “we” or “us” in these terms. These terms apply between us and the organisation that creates a TrustInk account, “you”. The person who accepts them on your behalf confirms that they may bind you.

The service

TrustInk lets you create signing cases, upload PDF documents, invite participants to sign them through a personal link or in person on a kiosk, and receive back a signed PDF and a sealed evidence summary. You use it through the tenant portal at app.trustink.io or through the API. Participants who sign do not need an account; they are not a party to these terms, and their use of the signing pages is governed by our privacy notice.

Accounts and API clients

• Keep your credentials, API client secrets and webhook signing secrets confidential. Actions taken with them count as yours.
• Tell us without delay at security@trustink.io if you believe a credential has been compromised.
• You are responsible for the people you give access to your account.

Plans, prices and payment

• The free plan includes a limited number of completed signing cases a month, as shown on the pricing page. Paid plans are charged as published on that page when you choose them.
• A case counts once it is completed, that is when every participant has signed and the signed document has been produced. Cases that expire, are cancelled or fail are not charged.
• Paid plans are billed through our payment provider. Prices exclude VAT unless stated otherwise.
• We may change prices for future billing periods with at least 30 days’ notice.

Your responsibilities

• You decide which documents you send, who signs them and whether a simple electronic signature is appropriate for them under the law that applies to you.
• You have a lawful basis to give us the participants’ personal data and inform them as the law requires. For that data we act as your processor under the data processing agreement.
• You do not use TrustInk for unlawful content, to send unsolicited messages, or in a way that harms the service or other customers, and you do not probe or attack its security except under our disclosure policy.

Signature level and evidence

TrustInk produces simple electronic signatures under Article 25 of Regulation (EU) No 910/2014 (eIDAS), backed by cryptographic evidence: each signature is a PAdES signature with a certificate issued to the participant for that signing, the document is sealed and extended to PAdES B-LTA with qualified timestamps where available, and a separate evidence summary records each participant’s steps. TrustInk does not currently offer advanced or qualified electronic signatures.

Availability and changes to the service

We aim to keep TrustInk available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may carry out maintenance and improve or change features; we will tell you in advance about changes that remove functionality you rely on.

Your data

You keep all rights to the documents and data you upload. We use them only to provide the service, as described in the data processing agreement. Documents are kept for the retention period your plan and settings allow and are then deleted.

Liability

[To be drafted with counsel: exclusion of indirect damages, a cap on liability (for example the fees paid in the previous twelve months), and the carve-outs the law requires.]

Suspension and termination

• You may close your account at any time.
• We may suspend access if you seriously breach these terms, if payment is overdue after a reminder, or if it is needed to protect the service; we will tell you why.
• After termination we delete your documents and personal data in line with the data processing agreement, except where the law requires us to keep them.

Changes to these terms

Each version of these terms has a version identifier, shown at the top of this page and published at /legal/versions.json. We record which version you accepted. We will announce material changes at least 30 days before they apply.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Slovak Republic. The courts of the Slovak Republic have jurisdiction, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
